Eli had ensured that she had sent chocolates to everybody involved in her game back on Valentine's (even the people she hated), so she was certain she was going to get some sort of gift back. Right? What had started off as a certain belief she refused to let go of ate away into miserable despair as time passed. Expecting a return gift from the people she killed or caused suffering to or disappointed, how silly of her. Just because she gave them a gift didn't mean they had to get her a gift back today, and her shoulders shook from quiet sobs.
"Fate really has it in for me... I should have known better..." she said to herself, unaware of any other people who could be near her or passing by.

Seiya had been blissfully unaware of the event taking place in the mansion, but once he heard the sobs from a certain corner of the room, be couldn't help but to become curious and wander over.
"...? Eli? Are you crying?," the usually bubbly male asked, surprised to see her in such a vulnerable state. He didn't like seeing anyone sad... It made him sad, too.

[It's totally cool!]
To say Eli was shocked that a human had seen her in such a vulnerable state was quite and understatement. She tried to blot at her eyes as she faced the young boy. "I apologize for you to have witnessed me in such a state, dear Seiya." To perhaps anyone else but some of her furniture (or the young kids), Eli would have gotten defensive and perhaps even violent, but she didn't have it in her heart to even put up her usual front as the island's ruler at night. "I'm sure you've heard of the custom of White Day, where you give a gift to somebody who gave you a gift on Valentine's Day?"
The witch smiled bitterly, her voice cracking as she opened her heart to Seiya. "I did my best to be generous and give candy to every person connected to my game on that day, but... alas, I'm aware now that they wouldn't want to give a gift to somebody they most likely hate..."

"Of course I know White Day! I used to get lots of gifts when I was in middle school, but I didn't really know why," he said simply, then frowned and reached into his pocket, pulling out a tissue and offering it to the blonde female.
"I don't know if 'hate' is the right word. Maybe they were just busy?," he suggested gently, giving her a soft smile before he looked up in thought. Maybe... After a couple of moments, he grinned to himself and reached down, grabbing her wrist excitedly before he started to pull her off the ground, onto her feet, and towards the door.
"I know I wasn't here for Valentine's Day, but how about we hang out for White Day? I'll make sure it's the best yet!," he exclaimed, grinning, the male being confident in his abilities.

Eli had taken Seiya's handkerchief and blotted at the tears, feeling extremely grateful. Such genuine kindness was rare to find, and she knew it all too well. This day had been an attempt to enjoy such happiness before dark days could consume that happiness. "I do hope you're right, Seiya." At least the kids and the majority of her furniture seemed to care about her.
The witch let out a surprise yelp when Seiya pulled her along. This earnest kindness and no desire to expose who she was... this was the reason that Eli vastly favored children and tried to avoid hurting them until the end of her games. "If-If it's all right with you, Seiya, th-then I'm not opposed to it," Eli stammered out with a grateful smile.
