Meta World-A place outside of the game board where the witch and the opposing player have their battles. Witches and other magical beings can interact freely here.
Fragments-Another term for games. Fragments can be viewed as parallel universes. Only Voyager Witches and higher witches can go between fragments. However, lesser witches can create fragments on their own.
Forgeries-A term for stories written based on a particular tale by a witch. They can be seen as similar to fan fiction.
Logic Error-A grave sin that can occur if a Game Master has a glaring contradiction in their narrative. The story cannot continue until the Game Master acknowledges their mistake and destroys the game board entirely to remake the game board, or the Game Master fixes the error themselves. If the Game Master chooses to fix the error, they are given an eternity to fix the error, but the task is immensely difficult and can be considered an eternal torture.
Devil's Proof-A concept for an argument against a witch. It operates on that one would have to prove many types of proof that a certain thing cannot/can occur, and unless the other person has proof that it did/did not occur, the one who introduced the proof is seen as victorious, although it does create a stalemate.
Hempel's Raven-A concept for an argument against a witch. This proof can be considered as an antithesis to the Devil's Proof, and is summarized as "All ravens are black. Thus, anything that isn't black is not a raven."
Magic-As borrowed from the Umineko wiki, "is a supernatural force that witches, sorcerers and demons use. It also looks like the power to turn the impossible into possible and, in fact, is divided into several compendium of magic, and its effects appears to be different for each system." Also, "All of the magic of the Umineko no Naku Koro ni universe shall be based on the existence of a clear theory and ideas. From this fact, it is one of the elements that are required to the reasoning player explore the identity of what is self-described as magic."
Endless Magic-This is Eli's compendium of magic. This gives Eli "the power to restore an object endlessly, granting the witch/sorcerer [Eli] the power to kill someone many times by restoring the victim to its previous state." Eli's magic is shown by the presence of golden butterflies, and her tool for divining magic is a wooden wand.
Miracle Magic-This is the compendium of magic for the Witch of Miracles. "It consists in repeating events many times to reach a miracle as result, as long as the probability of this miracle is not a perfect 0%." A miracle by that definition is an event that was not meant to occur, whether that event be good or bad.
Absolute Magic-This is the compendium of magic for the Witch of Certainty/The Absolute. "It consists in magically rewarding the efforts of someone by bringing absolute results." The witch can ensure that a result will occur, so long as the person working towards that result does not give up.
Resurrection Magic-This is the compendium of magic for the Witch of Resurrection. This is a complicated and rare kind of magic. The witch can bring back even those confirmed dead by Red Truth so long as they believe in a form of the dead that is alive.
Truth Magic-This is the compendium of magic for the Witch(es) of Truth. So long as a witch seeks the truth, they can be a Witch of Truth. They face the truth head on, no matter what awfulness may be in store for them. They can wield Truth as a laser-looking scythe or spear.
