Ryouko fiddled with the doorknob to the mansion, and quietly shut the door. Her notebook told her that he had pulled an all-nighter previously, and was most likely going to sleep in until the late afternoon. She didn't mind, though, as it meant that she could get a lot accomplished before he finally woke up. She ascended the stairs to his office, smiling when she saw him seated, almost motionless except for the slow breathing that she recalled was a feature of sleep. "Rohan-kun," she said softly to herself as she approached the sleeping manga artist. As compared to his usual annoyed or arrogant expression, Rohan's sleeping face was actually fairly peaceful. Ryouko checked in her notebook for where his room was, and went to go grab a blanket from his room to drape around his shoulders.
She felt a jolt of electricity at briefly touching him, then stepped back to go work on preparing a meal for them to share for when he got up. Hopefully, there was a recipe somewhere in her notebook for that, or else she'd have to resort to whatever was left in the cabinet. If her notebook was correct (which it was except for her stories where she had an intimate relationship with him), she had fallen in love with him through mail correspondence after enjoying his manga, and since he lived near her, they were able to physically meet after a bit. While he had never shown romantic interest in her, he had at least taken an interest in some of what had happened to her and she was an inspiration for some events in his manga. Her feelings for him were so strong that only when she read it in one of her notebooks, did she ever remember that she had been in love with someone before him. She didn't recall much of that other person, but she wondered if the end of their relationship had caused her to go on the boat that she had fallen off and lost her memories on.
"That has nothing to do with me anymore," Ryouko mumbled to herself as she poured in ingredients for the soup. Soup was good for helping his immune system, which he most definitely needed after that all nighter. "I wonder if Rohan-kun will be interested in that letter I got." The letter stuck out of the notebook, which she had left on the counter. "After all, he doesn't take care of himself, so my being gone might be bad for him. He'll say something like 'I refuse to believe such an idiotic notion', but it's the truth." While in his house, Ryouko had a habit of talking to a figment of her imagination that looked like a small white and gold figure in a hat wearing a bowtie that had Rohan's green eyes. She often talked to herself, but here, she definitely talked to what she presumed was an imaginary friend. Luckily for said imaginary friend, he had no way to peek into her mind and imagine all the adult things she imagined of her and her crush. She set the soup on a low simmer to keep it warm when it was done, and went back up to wait for her crush to wake up.
Ryouko had been in the mansion for three hours when Rohan finally woke from a sleep of weird tales, and it took a bit of time for him to register Ryouko's presence. "Ryouko-san, stop breaking into my house. It's bad enough that you come in and do as you please. If other writers get in and try to steal my ideas..." The rest of his sentence was lost when Ryouko suddenly hugged him. "You break into my house, go into my rooms, and then you touch me without asking me if I'm fine with it... do you expect me to be fine with this, Ryouko-san?" He pushed her back with a hand when she tried to kiss his cheek. With a yawn, he spotted the envelope sticking out of her notebook. "I suppose your reason for being here has to do with that envelope?"
Ryouko held her notebook up and slid the envelope out of it, then handed him the envelope. "I'm afraid that you'll have to take care of yourself for a bit, Rohan-kun. My family was invited to go to that big Ayashima celebration since my grandfathers on my mom's side had invested in the island long ago, and since my sisters and parents are busy, they decided to send me to it," she read from her notebook. "I'll be sure to investigate as much as I can while I'm there for you to write about it when I get back."
Rohan read over the letter, and it was as Ryouko had said about her family and being invited there. "I already have an assistant and you know that, Ryouko-san. I guess have a good trip, that's what someone would say in this situation if they were in a manga." He looked up and caught Ryouko glaring at him. "What? I can't say that I'll miss you much. You're only going for what, a week? Like you say, that has nothing to do with me. Even with my interest in Ayashima."
The red-haired girl pouted and grabbed his hand. "Even if you don't like me how I like you, you can't say that you won't miss me!! I always want to see you, Rohan-kun, and you've stopped kicking me out of your house when I break in! We're friends, aren't we?" Rohan looked at Ryouko with the same amount of disgust one would feel at watching a person kick a puppy. "Well, you know I'll miss you, Rohan-kun, and that's at least something. I made a soup for you, so come downstairs!"
"I didn't ask for your help, I can take care of myself!" Rohan protested while Ryouko dragged him along. "If you're going to insist that I'll miss you, you had better get detailed notes while you're on Ayashima, or your notes about it will be worthless to me! And don't die, either. I won't be able to get your notes if you die."
Ryouko smiled at Rohan excitedly. "Just tell me what to take notes on, Rohan-kun. Anything else doesn't matter." Except my feelings for you, she added inwardly.
