Name: Shuchi Saihara-Shirogane
Age: 19
Species: Human (Detective)
Personality: Shuichi considers himself to have a weak personality. What is there to him? He’s calm, polite, serious… what else is there that’s noteworthy? He often makes blunt and rude comments. He prefers not to speak unless spoken to, he finds something noteworthy, or when his younger sister is being a pest. Shuichi is almost never seen without a black baseball cap on.
Backstory: Shuichi’s father died at a very young age. His mother had to work a lot, so he spent a lot of time with his uncle, who was a member of the police force. Every weekend, he took his nephew, whether he wanted to or not, down to the station and told him about the art of becoming one of them. One day, they walked passed by a murderer being interrogated. He had killed the victim to avenge his family and professed that the victim was a horrible person who had tricked the culprit's family and driven them to suicide. When he and his uncle were passing him by, the murderer had stared at him, as if he was mocking him. Shuichi felt terrible for sympathizing with a murderer and he was in a funk for the rest of the day. His uncle noticed his nephew’s behavior and gave him his baseball cap in attempt to cheer him up.
One day, Shuichi was brought terrible news, well, at least for him… his mother got remarried. He didn’t mind the upgrade in the house, but the upgrade came with two extra perks: a sister and her slave- he meant father. He found her much too perky, while she found him much too serious. She’d talk almost nonstop about her favorite “shippings” and “fandoms”, especially a manga about killing a bunch of people. Although he scoffs at it, he harbors a secret intrigue to the stories of Ayashima. When he was 19, his stepdad gave him an envelope and told him to give it to his stepsister. To his dismay, he was practically forced on a business trip to a strange island he knew nothing about.
Connection to Ayashima: His stepfather found out that renowned manga-ka Tobirano Tengoku was residing on the island, and he sent his family in able to make a deal for a movie.
Magical abilities, if any: None, really.
Love interest, if any: You can try.
