"Oh yes," the furniture answered, nodding her head, "of course this has developed over time. No one can master anything on their first go round." Amane smiled, yet her smile faded as she turned her face away. Did she want to tell him about her other ability? "Anyway, I was in awe over my powers. Watching the flames dance across my hands took up most of the time I was working. My mesmerization was curtailed when one of the young masters came up to me and scolded me for burning the rag. How was I supposed to know that I had control over fire?" She scoffed as she put her new set of chips into the pot.

Rohan wanted to say him, but his nearly nonexistent self-preservation told him to keep the fact he was naturally talented at his magic to himself. Not unless he wanted his house on fire, again. Rohan tossed a few of his chips into the pot, more intrigued about the story than the game at this point. "As far as I've known, magic is tantalizing. One taste of it and you desire to use it more."
